Author Biography:

Anita Sanchez -

Anita Sanchez is a property investor and barbershop owner from Portland, Texas. Ms. Sanchez is a DBA (Doctor of Business Administration) candidate at the University of the Incarnate Word, where she also acts as an Adjunct Professor of Business. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in 2011 and her Master of Business Administration in 2012, both from the University of the Incarnate Word.
As an MBA, Ms. Sanchez teaches undergraduates in Applied Management Practice, Quality Assurance, Concepts of Management, and Personnel Management. Upon completion of her DBA, Ms. Sanchez looks forward to expanding her teaching portfolio.
In addition to her academic pursuits, Mrs. Sanchez has been instrumental in self-financing and establishing two successful small businesses. Her professional acumen extends across multiple domains, including administration, accounting, management, and human resources.
Ms. Sanchez is engaged with her community through her parish, Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, Portland, TX, where she volunteers her time as a Perpetual Adoration substitute, an ACTS team member, and a Catechist in their religious education program.

Thomas Teeter

Dr. Thomas Teeter serves as an Adjunct Professor of Business Administration and Organizational Development at the University of the Incarnate Word. As a part-time faculty member, he contributes to the Doctor of Business Administration program while also teaching a range of courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Beyond his teaching commitments, Dr. Teeter is involved in professional development coaching and business strategy consultations. He holds the designation of Society for Human Resource Management Senior Certified Professional.
After completing his military service in 2013, Dr. Teeter embarked on a dual-track career path, pursuing both professional roles and advanced education concurrently. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Administration in 2015 and his Master of Arts in Administration with a concentration in Organizational Development in 2016, both from the University of the Incarnate Word. During this period, he also amassed experience in the insurance claims and investment sectors, broadening his expertise and cementing his decision to pursue a career in academia.
Dr. Teeter joined the University of the Incarnate Word in 2017, initially serving as an Academic Advisor in the School of Professional Studies while continuing his education. He completed his Doctorate in Business Administration in 2020. Subsequently, he transitioned to a part-time teaching role, enabling him to balance family life, health, and various other projects.
